2007 Balletto Estate Rose' of Pinot Noir

Our first vintage was one of San Francisco Chronicle's 2007 Top 100 wines! As grape growers first, we strongly feel that with good grapes comes good wine. It all starts in the field. With the help of consulting winemaker Dan Cederquist, we feel we have created another wonderful Rose' of Pinot Noir.
This wine has a brilliant peachy-pink color. Aromas are of strawberries and cream with hints of cherry, peach & blueberry. Great flavors of strawberries, cherries and peaches & cream. Good crisp acidity that balances nicely with a hint of residual sugar. This wine would pair nicely with cheese plates, Waldorf salads or a fresh fruit salad. A wine for hot tubs and spring break - tastes best when wearing shorts!

Brix at Harvest: 23.8 to 26.4
Clones: Blended from more than five distinct clones & vineyard blocks.
Soil: We have three different soil types on which our grapes are grown. They are Wright Loam Shallow, Wichita Clay Loam and Blucher fine Sandy Loam.
Other Information: Our grapes are picked and sorted by hand. In this vintage, 20% was fermented in neutral French oak barrels and 80% fermented in stainless steel tanks.
