2006 Estate Chardonnay
After many requests from our customers, we decided to craft a Russian River chardonnay fermented in 100% stainless steel. This is definitely a wine for the wine connoisseurs that are tired of the big, oaky butter bombs.
This wine is a nice pale straw color. It has aromas of freshly harvested apples with essences of honey and fig. The flavors are that of a rich, crisp Golden Delicious apple with flinty mineral notes and a hint of butter. Surprisingly full bodied for an un-oaked chardonnay. A characteristic that came from natural, partial malolactic fermentation from the wild yeast that was on the grapes when they were harvested.
We suggest serving this wine with roast chicken or if you are feeling decadent, lobster with drawn butter!
