 
2005 Balletto Estate Syrah
This is our first vintage of Syrah from our winery. The grapes for this wine come from our BCD Vineyard in about 2 miles north of our winery. This is the same vineyard we get our Zinfandel from. As grape growers first, we strongly feel that with good grapes comes good wine. It all starts in the field. With the help of winemaker Dan Cederquist, we feel we have produced an excellent representation of Russian River Valley Syrah.
This full bodied wine is a beautiful dark purple-red with a hint of sapphire, richly textured and incredibly delicious. The aromas are that of ripe black cherry, black berries, chocolate and earth with a hint of raspberry cola, spice & vanilla. Wonder flavors of ripe cherries, blackberries and plum, with deeper flavors of chocolate cola-coffee and subtle notes of earth & spice. Enjoy!

Other Information: Our grapes are picked and sorted by hand. This vintage was aged 16 months in French barrels.
